Template:Infobox char Hitch Dreyse (ヒッチ・ドリス Hicchi Dorisu?) is a member of the Military Police stationed in Stohess District. She is a graduate of the 104th Trainees Squad, though not the same division the central cast belonged to.

Appearance

Hitch has a somewhat catty appearance, with large amber eyes and chin length shaggy light brown hair. She would don the Military Police uniform like her fellow officers. When off-duty, Annie noted she enjoys wearing cosmetics and fashionable dresses. [1]

Personality

Hitch acts immature in certain ways, and seems to enjoy teasing and needling her fellow officers. She claims she chose to join the Military Police out of laziness, as it's well known that the senior staff are incredibly corrupt and she wanted to benefit from the system herself, but didn't take into account that as a newbie her superiors would dump all their work on her. When Marlo claims to have joined the Military Police for noble reasons, Hitch breaks out into laughter and it's implied she only got in through dishonorable merits. She does, however, state that she never would have chosen the Military Police if she had known that she would get stuck with all the work, implying that she did in fact earn her way in, and that Boris was merely insulting her.

Story

The Female Titan arc

Hitch is a member of the same Military Police unit as Annie Leonhart, and teases her for sleeping late. Boris Feulner is upset with Hitch's conduct and tells her to leave Annie alone. He also points out that she is the only one of their unit to have actually fought Titans in Trost District. He goes on to suggest that she's jealous of Annie because she got into the Military Police with merit, while Hitch herself only got in through dishonorable means. However, the conversation is interrupted by the arrival of their superior, who assigns them to protect the Survey Corps convoy carrying Eren Yeager.

Clash of the Titans arc

In the aftermath of the fight between Annie and Eren in their Titan forms, she complains about Annie skipping out on her duties. She is completely unaware that Annie was the Female Titan and therefore would be detained.

The Uprising arc

Being ordered to accompany Marlo Sand in an attempt to capture wanted Survey Corps members, both are seen strolling deep into a forest. Hitch expresses her opinions on the recent events that happened in the Stohess District, and questions where Annie is, also telling Marlo that she was her roommate when Annie served in the Military Police. Their conversation gets interrupted when Hitch hears the sound of water and silences Marlo, asking him to get his gun ready. The two see Armin Arlert getting a few bowls of water from the nearby river.

Hitch and Marlo both order Armin to put his hands up into the air, only to fall into his trap. Mikasa and Levi then jump behind the two. Mikasa and Levi then proceed to take their guns away from them and rid of their other weapons and uniforms. Levi questions Hitch and Marlo about their current positions in the Military Police. Hitch, angry at the Survey Corps, blames Levi and the entire military branch for the aftermath of Stohess and of Annie's death. Hitch and Marlo soon learn that Annie was the Female Titan that was in Stohess and she is captured and still alive. Marlo tells Levi that he would like to help the Survey Corps, but Levi doesn't buy in and orders Sasha to escort them someplace else. Jean interferes and offers to take the two instead. Taking Marlo and Hitch to the area, Jean threatens them with a knife along the way.

Arriving at the spot where Jean wanted them to be at, Jean admits he intends to kill the two of them with the knife he had believing them to be a threat and cannot be trusted. As Marlo explains that Levi didn't want Jean to kill them, Jean says that this was his own personal decision, and that none of the other members don't know about it. Jean raises the knife in the air as the two beg for their lives to be spared about to stab them to death, but Jean trips and the knife falls from his hands. Marlo grabs the knife and tells Hitch to run. Jean and Marlo are soon struggling for the knife when Jean gets back up on his feet. Jean tells Marlo that he also has a gun that can hurt them, and that it would be of more use as it shoots faster than how a knife can stab. Marlo confesses that he really was on their side, and his personal view of the Miltary Police Brigade. They both stop struggling when Hitch grabs a nearby stick and rams it into Jean's head, sending him to the ground. Hitch attempts to hit him again with the stick, but is stopped by Marlo. Marlo tells Hitch that Jean was only testing him, and he never was serious on killing them after all. Marlo questions Jean about why he trusts him so much, and Jean responds by saying that Marlo reminds him of someone he hated, by that he was referring to Eren, and calls Marlo a blockhead. Marlo reaches his hand out to help Jean up, and Jean confirms that Marlo and Hitch can be trusted and their strength could be of use.

Hitch and Marlo lead Mikasa, Connie, Sasha, Levi, and Jean to the Interior Brigade Compound, where they are ready with rifles. Levi says that it was thanks to Hitch, Marlo, and Jean that they made it this far. They all continue their way to the Compound, saying it is their time to strike.[2]

Hitch is with the group as Hange reveals that Darius Zackly has been placed in power and the Survey Corps has been cleared of all past charges. She is seen celebrating with the others and is even hugged by Sasha.[3]

Abilities

Her actual abilities are unknown, as she never participates in combat. Boris Feulner suggests she lacks the abilities necessary to have ranked a place in the Military Police through honest means. Despite this, she shows abilities of persuasion when Marlo is being beaten.
